Tungsten-copper [WCu]

Tungsten-copper (WCu) is a group of tungsten-based composite materials consisting of 50 to 90 % tungsten and the remaining proportion of copper. The combination of the elements tungsten and copper gives these materials unique properties for numerous industrial applications. The high hardness, high modulus of elasticity and outstanding wear and erosion resistance of tungsten are combined with the excellent electrical and thermal conductivity of copper.
