TZM und HCM– Molybdänlegierungen für Hochtemperaturanwendungen

TZM and MHC (also HCM) are heat-resistant molybdenum alloys with >98 % Mo and low additions (Ti, Zr or Hf and C). The alloying elements cause solid solution and dispersion hardening: finely distributed, stable particles inhibit grain growth and ensure strength and dimensional stability at high temperatures. This makes TZM and MHC suitable for applications under extreme thermal conditions. In the overview below you will find the standard grades with compositions and availability/downloads.

Properties

- High high-temperature strength & increased recrystallization temperature compared to pure Mo - Dispersion hardening: finely dispersed, stable particles → low grain growth - Good thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion (Mo-based) - Good dimensional stability/durability in high-temperature applications
