[WRe3, WRe5, WRe26]

Tungsten-rhenium alloys combine the very high melting point of W with the ductility-enhancing properties of Re. Compared to pure tungsten, WRe grades exhibit a higher recrystallization temperature, greater strength and significantly better ductility; they are also easier to weld or solder. They are frequently used for thermocouple wires as well as cables and filigree components exposed to high temperatures.
