Tungsten copper back-cast

[W-core + Cu back-cast | TE-/TN-series]

In tungsten-copper back-casting, a tungsten core is back-cast with liquid copper to create a seamless, 100% bond. The compound thus combines the high hardness, wear and burn resistance of tungsten with the excellent electrical and thermal conductivity of copper. The result: durable, reliable components for applications with high temperature and current loads - e.g. electrodes and nozzles for plasma spraying, electrodes for resistance welding and components in X-ray technology.
